Mitella diphylla (Bishop's-cap) is a charming woodland perennial native to the Northeast and Midwest. This delicate plant features heart-shaped, serrated leaves on finely hairy stalks, with two opposite leaves appearing on the flowering stalk. In spring, it produces small white flowers that resemble snowflakes, blooming along stems that can reach up to 12 inches tall.
