Description- Garden Gnome' is one of those early spring bloomers that loves the cold, in fact, the colder the winter, the more buds it seems to throw up in spring! Shorter in stature then most Iceland poppies, 'Garden Gnome' boasts sturdy hairy stems to keep the brilliant blooms of scarlet, yellow or orange upright in the spring rain showers. The tissue paper thin petals surround a brilliant yellow ring of stamens that together brighten the spring garden like no other early bloomer can! The 2" flowers start to bloom in late April and continue through to frost blending well with other perennials and annuals in the garden. Dead head spent flowers to keep this Poppy tidy. Plant Garden Gnome in full sun to partial shade and give it a moderate amount of water to keep the blue green foliage fresh. It's perfect for containers, borders, the perennial garden and even as a cut flower!
