You've never seen a Coral Bells like this with the deepest, darkest, almost black colored foliage that will leave you gasping with delight. This plant's foliage emerges in early spring with a glossy, deep maroon hue and quickly fills in to form a dense, spreading mound of foliage that stays dark throughout the growing season and has such an interesting shade that you will always be tempted to touch it to see if it's actually real! Long, thin flower spikes emerge from the foliage in late spring and begin to bloom in June with a cloud of small white blossoms that really stand out in contrast to the dark foliage. Plant 'Obsidian' in full sun or partial shade and in groups to provide an even bigger color impact. It's easy to grow, drought tolerant, deer resistant and even attracts hummingbirds and butterflies!
